"Mbok Rara Kembang Sore"

It is in a story, one day, Mbok Rara Kembang Sore, namely the son and daughter of Prince Danu, Adipati in Betak, was chatting in Tamansari. How surprised Mbok Rara Kembang Sore was when someone suddenly came to her place. Upon closer inspection, the person who came earlier was none other than his uncle, Prince Kalang. Prince Kalang said to Mbok Rara Kembang Sore, that his arrival was to seek protection to find a hiding place because he was being chased by Lembu Peteng. Of course, Mbok Rara Kembang Sore didn't mind if Prince Kalang hid in that place, because he was still his uncle, and at that time he was still being chased. Unexpectedly, the Ox Peteng who was chasing them had arrived and had already entered.

Prince Kalang had arrived in Betak and entered Tamansari. When he learned that there was a very beautiful princess in Tamansari, Lembu Petang then asked, "Did Mbok Rara Kembang Sore see Prince Kalang?" Of course Mbok Rara Kembang Sore would not admit that Prince Kalang was there. Because of the beauty of  Mbok Rara Kembang Sore, Lembu Peteng gradually realized that his real goal was to find Prince Kalang. Next, Lembu Evening was interested in the beauty of Mbok Rara Kembang Sore. Over time, the Evening Lembu wanted to marry Mbok Rara Kembang Afternoon. Because Mbok Rara Kembang Sore is also attracted to Lembu Peteng, over time the Lembu Peteng and Mbok Rara Kembang Sore make love to each other in Tamansari.

When Prince Kalang found out from his hiding place that Mbok Rara Kembang Afternoon and Lembu Peteng were in love with each other, his heart burned, he was furious, because his niece would be married to Lembu Peteng. Prince Kalang immediately entered the Duchy of Betak, telling his brother that his son, Rara Kembang Sore, was in love with his opponent, Lembu Peteng. After Adipati Betak heard his brother's report, without thinking, he was also angry and immediately went to Tamansari looking for Lembu Peteng to kill. Finally, there was a war in Tamansari.

Lembu Peteng ran, holding Mbok Rara Kembang Afternoon. Because he had fallen in love with Lembu Peteng, Mbok Rara Kembang Sore also ran away. Lembu Peteng and Mbok Rara Kembang Sore went west until they reached the river bank. Adipati Betak had a hard time finding him, because he lost track of him, then he met Kyai Kasan Besari, then he was told what had just happened. Kyai Kasan Besari wants to help the Duke of Betak find the Peteng Ox. Finally, the hiding place of Lembu Peteng was discovered by Kyai Kasan Besari and the Duke of Betak so that a war broke out. The Peteng Ox was killed by Kyai Kasan Besari. The killing of the Peteng Lembu by his clown was reported to Majapahit. Not long after, envoys from Majapahit came looking for Prince Kalang and Kyai Kasan Besari in connection with the death of the Peteng Lembu. The Duke of Betak, namely Prince Bedaung, because he was afraid of the "envoy" from Majapahit then hid and fled to the South. By envoys from Majapahit, Prince Bedaung continues to be chased. Because he was very afraid, Prince Bedaung finally committed suicide, entered the lake and died. The lake where Prince Bedaung committed suicide is called Kedung Bedaung

It is said that when Mbok Rara Kembang Sore understood that Lembu Peteng had been killed in the past by Kyai Kasan Besari, Mbok Rara Kembang Sore continued to hide for cover, fleeing south to Dadapan. In the Dadapan village, there was an old widow who was known by the people around her as Mbok Randa Dadapan, Mbok Rara Kembang Sore wanted to take refuge in Mbok Randa Dada¬pan, so as not to be caught by the envoys of Kyai Kasan Besari or the envoys of Majapahit. Mbok Rara Kembang Sore joined Mbok Randa Dadapan for a long time; by Mbok Randa Dadapan he was considered his own son. In addition, Mbok Randa Dadapan has a son named Jaka Bodo, who has grown up. Because Mbok Rara Kembang Sore is very beautiful, Joko Bodo falls in love with Mbok Rara Kembang Sore and repeatedly wants to get married. By itself, Mbok Rara Kembang Sore did not want to, because Joko Bodo was not considered his soul mate.

Joko Bodo did not despair, repeatedly expressing his heart. Over time, Mbok Rara Kembang Sore wants to grant Joko Bodo's wish, as long as Joko Bodo does what Mbok Rara Kembang Sore wants. It is said in the story, one day, Mbok Randa Dadapan was away, Jaka Bodo and Mbok Rara Kembang Sore stayed at home, the two of them negotiated with each other, finally Mbok Rara Kembang Sore wanted to marry, as long as Jaka Bodo wanted to be silent in a nearby mountain with the village. Of course, Jaka Bodo was able to do what was stated in the conditions above. Then Jaka Bodo went to the mountain in question and Mbok Rara Kembang Sore ran as fast as he could to the West. How surprised Mbok Randa Dadapan was when he arrived home, the house was very quiet at that time, his son was called repeatedly without an answer, Rara Kembang Sore was also not there, they were searched here and there and they were not there. Over time Mbok Randa Dadapan found out that Jaka Bodo was sitting pensively on the mountain ridge, of course, Mbok Randa Dadapan was very sick. Jaka Bodo was really in that place but was called to just stay quiet. Because of his anger, Jaka Bodo was said to be a stone by Mbok Randa Dadapan, "Children are called silent like stones!". Immediately, Jaka Bodo turned to stone. Mbok Randa Dadapan was disappointed because his words turned out to be sacred. Now it has become a bustling place. The mountain where Jaka Bodo was imprisoned is now called Mount Duwung (Duwung: regret).

It is said in the story that when Mbok Rara Kembang Sore fled to the West, he came to Mount Cilik, meditated, and became a sage named Resi Winadi Rara Kembang Sore. Resi Winadi had two beautiful people, very famous, named Sarwa and Sarwana. The two beautiful people are his favorite beauty. Resi Winadi wanted to complain about his heirloom magic with Prince Kalang. Sarwa was sent to Betak to convey this. If the heirloom of Resi Winadi loses, Resi Winadi will submit to Prince Kalang, whatever he wants, but on the other hand, if the heirloom of Resi Winadi wins and Prince Kalang wants to have the heirloom, Prince Kalang must come alone to Mount Cilik to meet Mbok Rara Kembang Afternoon. How to complain about inheritance. The heirloom is plugged into a banyan tree in Betak, if the banyan leaves fall and the tree falls, it means the heirloom wins. But if the leaves don't fall and the tree doesn't fall, it means the inheritance is lost. When Sarwa arrived in Betak, he informed Prince Kalang of the purpose of his arrival. Prince Kalang agreed to contest the magic of the heirloom. The two heirlooms were brought to the square. What will be seen first is the heirloom of Prince Kalang, the heirloom is plugged into the banyan bracket in the square, but let alone the tree falls, not even one leaf has fallen. After that, what will be seen is the heirloom of the Little Mountain belonging to Resi Winadi. What stuck in the brackets was cantrik Sarwa, immediately the leaves fell and the tree fell. With this incident, Prince Kalang admitted his defeat and wanted to have the heirloom of the Little Mountain. Of course, Sarwa did not object to this, but as long as Prince Kalang was willing to fulfill the conditions. That is to come alone to Mount Cilik, after arriving you have to walk squatting and not be allowed to look up before being given permission.

Since he wanted to have a sacred heirloom, then Prince Kalang did not mind fulfilling the conditions. Accompanied by the Cantrik Sarwa, other followers, and the soldiers, Prince Kalang set out for Mount Cilik. Once upon a time in Betak after Prince Kalang and Cantrik Sarwa left, the Duchy of Betak was hit by a big flood because the water cover under Watu Gilang in Tamansari was opened by a cantrik Sar-wana. After the lid of the source water is opened, the water overflows, which is a big flood. Sarwana survived because he had provided a raft. The city of Betak became the bustle of many people running for their lives. Prince Kalang who was escorted by the cantrik Sarwa had arrived at Mount Cilik where Resi Winadi was sitting on the hill, and Resi Winadi saw the arrival of Prince Kalang who was escorted by the Cantrik Sarwa from a distance. After arriving at the hill, Resi Winadi said that Prince Kalang could look up to see him. After looking up Prince Kalang was surprised that Resi Winadi was none other than Rara Kembang Sore.

Embarrassed, Prince Kalang continued to run with no intention of asking for an heirloom. He ran towards the east. He was ashamed of his nephew; he was ashamed of Resi Winadi, who had been his enemy. Resi Winadi wanted to avenge his uncle's shame and the revenge was carried out, by defeating Prince Kalang's heirloom therefore Prince Kalang complied with all his requirements. Before Prince Kalang arrived at Mount Cilik, the governor of Gajah Mada and his soldiers had arrived from Majapahit, along with Sarwana, whom Resi Winadi had sent to Betak to report the results of his assignment. In addition, Resi Winadi's mother, Rara Mursada, also came to Mount Cilik. Of course, Resi Winadi and Rara Mursada hugged each other and cried after hearing the events in Betak about Rara Inggit's death due to being chased by Prince Kalang. Rishi Winadi was very angry and retaliated.

Because he was ashamed of Rara Mursada mixed with fear of the governor of Majapahit, Prince Kalang ran for safety. Of course, Patih Gajah Mada and his soldiers chased after Prince Kalang. There was a war between the Kalang army and the Majapahit army. Prince Kalang's soldiers were all nearly killed only Prince Kalang managed to escape. The place of war between Gajah Mada's troops and Prince Kalang's soldiers is called Batang Sauren. As a result of the many corpses in the war. Prince Kalang lost and continued to run after Gajah Mada was finally caught. Prince Kalang was stabbed with various weapons, spears, swords so that his body was destroyed, the place was called Jonggulu. Until now the village still exists near Mount Cilik. Even though Prince Kalang's body had been destroyed he was still able to run and was chased by the Majapahit army, his body was torn apart by Patih Gajah Mada. The place where Prince Kalang's body was torn up was called Kalangbret. However, Prince Kalang tried to escape. Because he was exhausted, he looked for a hiding place on the edge of the river.

Finally, Prince Kalang died on the bank of the river and the time was a cave, the place was called Ngesong village. After the situation was safe, the envoy of Maja¬pahit, Patih Gajah Mada, returned to Majapahit. The hermitage of Mbok Rara Kembang Sore on Mount Cilik Rampai is now a place of worship, as is the tomb of Mbok Rara Kembang Sore on Mount Bulu.
